I have an 84 6.2L diesel Blazer. The glow plug relay does not come on. Replaced it and glow plug light and relay worked. Tried to started next day and relay did not come on again. Plugs measure 1.1 ohm. Prior to problems, there was intermittent popping of GPR, where it would rapidly come on and off after truck was running.
Help doctor!!

Sounds like it might be the glow plug controller. I can tell you now, it is junk. Check the posts for installing a manual switch.

Big Blue,
If your call for a doctor was for me , I'm not really a doctor I just play one on TV http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif, I do make sick turbines well though; more of a paramedic with many years of BTDT, I've got no shingle from a university for real doctor status, Turbine Paramedic was too long of a CB handle so I went with TD, go to this link http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=13514&PN=1 maybe some help there, alas I have little know how on the 6.2, I own a 6.5.
If you do go the route above make sure you have the extended cycle glow plus, that can take it if you inadvertantly glow them for too long.Edited by: Turbine Doc

Thanks for all the info. I am checking out the controller, which I believe is located behind the head.
Thanks too doc!
