My cousin has a 6.5 2500 4x4 and was thinking about getting an intercooler. He was wondering if it will give him any more power and how much it would cost him. Does it give you noticable power or is it jst another 10 to the list kind of like a k&n filter any info would be apretiated.

I think the super cooler concept would tend to give you the most bang for your buck. I think it would be relatively easy to setup, and the super cooling effect from the A/C, would certainly give you desired cooling effect for the intake air.

Also do not think an intercooler, gives you much added HP per sea. However, it alows you to modify your engine even more for added HP because your intake temps are quite a bit lower. An intercooler along with a nice wide, free flowwing exhuast keep your engine running a lot cooler, which is also very beneficial for towing.Edited by: Juancho

You can get a good (dodge)chargeair core for around $300 USD from www.car-parts.com (http://www.car-parts.com) . Less for slightly mangled ones.

Doesn't give you more power, it let's you run at a higher power level longer with greater efficiency.
