Just recently my LLY has developed a knock primarily while exiting an off ramp (turning the wheel to the right, while going over bumps), backing out of the driveway and taking corners. You can hear it very well and I can't quite tell if I can feel it on the steering wheel. I'm not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me. I can hear 2 to 3 knocks as if something is loose like a pipe hitting another pipe. I've crawled under with the wheel straight, turned left, turned right and everything feels very sturdy. This has been checked while on the ground and while lifted. Anyone have any guesses to this noise?

check your torsionbar mount, where it meets the frame. the mounting hole is oval, and the bolts loosen allowing the whole mount to slide from side to side in between the frame rails, causing a banging or clunking noise about 2 or three times, just as you described.
