Hope someone can make a suggestion.

I have a 1980 Integra (no not a truck) that over heats. I had the radiator rodded, new thermostat and just pulled the in block water pump. The pump looks fine. Yet it overheats and it seems like there is not enough water circulation. When the thermostat opens up the top side of the radiator where the water hose connects gets hot but the other side stays cool enough to put your hand on it.

any clues?

Thanks

Jim

radiator plugged? Should be fairly even temp across the rad core

I took the thermostat out and tried again. Even across radiator. After messing with it more, I took a wiff of the coolant. Smelled like exhaust. I'm thinking there is a head problem at this time. Even at idle this thing gets really hot.

Thanks for the help Eric.
