I can never remember which is which. The black plumbing pipe. Can it handle the under hood temps to be used for an air intake?

Thanks,

Dave

I've been running a 3" piece of sched 40 PVC as a MAF sensor bypass between the air filter & turbo inlet boot on mine for nearly 3 years so it must be okay to use that.

I'm using a white one. Not sure what schedule, sorry. Pix in my garage. Holding up well to temps...

Thick wall is white schedule 40 Fast CR about 3/16" thick walls on 3" PVC pipe, Black pipe is ABS but thin wall, I opted for the beefier pipe

Dave, check out my garage for the "air mod" it has both the black ABS (thickwall) and White PVC (thinwall). The canaster on the tubo power cover is white thin wall the rest is black thickwall. Been in place almost 2 years and it goes rightover the turbo shield without any problems so far. It lasted for a 4500 cross country trip with the tag along over mountain passes and 80*+ weather.

Thanks guys. I didn't think it was going to be a problem but wanted to make sure before I ended up with a mess of gooey melted plastic.
