I am not too familiar with taps but isnt the drill bit size supposed to be slightly smaller than the actual tap.In the directions it says to use a 5/16 drill and a 1/8 npt tap.That is 1/16 larger.Maybe i dont understand the npt part.Please help.

Both my auto meter pyro and my edge pyro said the same thing, 5/16" drill bit and a 1/8" NPT tap and both of them worked perfectly, just make sure you run the tap all the way down otherwise it won't thread in there correctly.
