I have an 01 that went south with 34,000 + or - 500 miles just a few weeks ago. It is a covered replacement with GM 7yr/100k Warrenty. Took them two days to have it out, they did'nt have a replacement in stock. Take it in and don't let them tell you otherwise, they tried with me. Hope it works out for you. Edited by: easymon4u

Your not kidding, holy chit 4ft pipe extension for some added leverage helps though http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

At 52K I noticed a small spot on the driveway, took it in for a pump change. The Service was great, they had the pump in stock and had it back in service 5 hours later and 100 bucks deductible.

Had mine replaced at 33,000 miles. Was leaking at weep hole.Took a week to get pump then another week to get gaskets and o-rings for by-pass tubes. In shop for a day to actually replace pump.Returned truck following day as by-pass tube o-ring was leaking very bad.Took another week to get o-rings as they come from point of origin or so I was told. All in all a total joke. The o-ring business is what really pissed me off.Oh the scratched grill did not make me smile either.

Make them replace it! It's BS that the dealer can damage your truck and not fix it.
