After reading along, Taking off the Cat. Coverter will increase my wistle therefore sounding like a jet place....Correct?

Also, any drone to this setup? As for what about uncomfortable driving?

Removing the cat makes the exhuast a little louder not bad inside but very noticable outside, assuming you have some form of a muffler on the truck.

I was thinking of leave the MBRP muffler on that come with my catback exhaust..Is the cat welded on?

I just got home from the exhaust shop that did my exhaust. My virgin exhaust I should say. I did a cat back MBRP. I didnt want any drone.

I found that there is indeed a bit of drone at 72 mph in 6th gear. You drop to 5th and its gone. It kinda reminds me of my 04.5 LLY with a Magnalfow.

I like it and I certainly want more turbo whistle but I dont want any drone at all.

Exactly what im looking for...

Its funny. I'm just so picky with all my exhaust systems on all my vehicles. I've changed the exhaust on my 04 twice, my Ford 3 times, and my Caprice 3 times, all in search for the perfect system. My Ford had a set of Magnaflows that I put on it with all 4 cats deleted and swapped for 2 high flows. The Magnaflow sounded ferocious for sure but a bit loud for my taste. I welded up a couple resonators. Much better. A year and a half later, I was sick and tired of the drone at 75 mph. Completely stock system currently, I couldnt be happier.

I learned about myself that I pretty much just like it quiet. I like everything quiet. I couldnt stand the drone my LLY had with Magnaflow so I bought an MBRP muffler from a guy down in Florida off this forum. The drone was nearly gone, but still there.

I'll probably leave my system, a cat back for now I guess. It is a bit throatier and thats cool. I was just surprized to hear that there is indeed a slight drone at highway speeds. This is coming directly from a stock OEM system too so I may just need to give it some time.

Down the road, if I ever choose to buy the downpipe and cat delete piping, a resonator is definately in parts bin, just to help combat the drone.

Maybe its just me. Whats quiet to others, is loud to me so unless its perfect, I'm just not happy.
