In an effort to get the members acquainted with the Vendors and their products, we have decided to post a little info about the vendors. I will be adding to this list as the info comes in. Any vendor that has not received a questionnaire please PM Randy_the_Hack or any of the admins on the site. Thanks!!

On Edit...

Vendors
This thread and forum is searchable. A complete product line listing may help a member find vendors that sell what they're after. If you would like to add anything then please PM Randy_the_Hack the info.

Just started in Sept. of this year. I've been using and tuning with EFI since the beginning of the duramax EFI release. I've been drag racing the duramax since 2004 and have found which products work and which don't. I decided to use that knowledge and testing to start a diesel performance business, and hope to have a full service diesel performance shop opened in 2008.

What has been the companies highs?
Great hearing all the positive feedback from happy customers and taking pride in their accomplishments.

What has been the lows?
No lows so far. I guess, if any, it would be doing all the ground work associated with starting up a new business.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
Owned a successful masonry company before being a stay-at-home dad for last 5 years. Now the kids are in school full time and I'm taking the next step with my passion for performance diesel trucks. I road raced motorcycles around the country in the late 80's and early 90's and have been drag racing for 25 years. I attended and graduated from automotive tech school and was employed as automotive dealer tech in the 80's. Have been wrenching on engines since my first minibike at age of 7.

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
Clint Cannon and Ranee Elder founded Automotive Transmission Specialists in 1993. At that time the company specialized in transmission repair for all types of vehicles. In 1997, Performance Torque Converters was founded and they started doing torque converter rebuilds in house. Bringing the capability of building torque converters in house gave them more flexibility to service their racing customers. As the popularity of diesel trucks grew and more people became aware of the power upgrades available for their diesels, problems with diesel transmissions emerged.

Clint started research and development into a more robust torque converter to address the transmission issues. It was discovered that a clutch pack design was the answer to providing a robust torque converter. The development of the TripleLok® Torque Converter and a company focus on Diesel Performance products resulted in a rename of the company to ATS Diesel Performance.

ATS Diesel Performance is rapidly expanding and offers high performance transmissions, valve bodies and patented torque converters, along with high performance engine upgrades for Cummins, Power Stroke, and Duramax powered diesel trucks. Upgrades and drive train components offered by ATS now equip trucks from all over the United States, as well as other countries with outstanding results. From full-time RV users who travel nonstop, to high horsepower competition based vehicles, ATS has the answers. About Us (http://www.atsdiesel.com/ATSWebsite/About.aspURL)

In 2003 I started sled pulling the fall with my 2003 Duramax, and by the summer of 2004 I was running a single turbo considerably bigger than an Aurora 5000. It cleaned up all the fuel which was no fun so, by the spring of 2005 I developed and ran the first ever set of twin cp3s which got the fuel going, and by the end of that summer, I was running compound turbochargers and 85psi boost. In 2006 CLIMAX was debut, no doubt the most powerful Duramax in sledpulling. I got "hooked" fast and have been staying on the cutting edge of Duramax power and at the top of Duramax sled pulling.

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
All the guys that help me out in the shop all drive a Duramax and most all of them sled pull. My awesome girlfriend drives a 2000 VW Diesel. It runs mild injectors and a good bit of tuning, it can put out more smoke than an edge box on a Duramax.

When all that fell through i got a job working on John Deere tractors at a local dealer in Gainesville, and would still be there if i didn't get the call from Brad to start working here. That was March '06. I have made the move to Villa Ridge, MO and adjusting to the folk that don't have the twang and dip in their mouth! haha.....Rest is history!

Manufacture the best biodiesel processors for diesel enthusiasts, original Master Distributor of South Bend Clutches for Duramax, and Dealer for all other SBC products; Dealer for Super Diesel Performance, EFI Live, AMSOIL, Fluidampr, and soon to be a dealer for Ranch Hand bumpers.

Do you have a member discount and if so explain it?
Not presently, but plan to set up a discount for prior customers and members within the next month or so.

What payment types do you accept?
Cash, cashier’s Checks, MasterCard, Visa

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
Began investigating aftermarket clutch kits for Duramax in mid 2004. Met up with Peter of SBC, helped come up with his first kits for Duramax and did the original testing. In February 2005 began investigating biodiesel processing and the first steel processing tanks with gear pumps in late 2005. Got the corporation started in September 2005 and began contacting other great products for diesel customers. Fluidampr can next and best friend owner of Super Diesel Performance right after that. Every item is tested before it becomes a product for customers. Customer support is very important.

What has been the companies highs?
This year has been the highest so far. Provided many new double disc clutches this year at a $500 discount! First biodiesel processor is going to a 2005 Cummins customer in Italy who will eventually become a dealer for Europe.

What has been the lows?
Examining and testing the first SBC Duramax clutches was exhausting, as was setting up a business. Learning about biodiesel and designing a completely new and better processor was costly and time consuming.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
Have spent almost 23 in management of projects designing and building spacecrafts and payloads. In teenage and college years rebuilt some engines and replaced several flywheel clutch kits. ~20 years later got my second diesel truck, joined this forum, met Super Diesel down the road, and started working on diesel modifications (and then Michael talked me into biodiesel!) Being on this forum has been very positive (except for my wallet!) I love to go hunting (Africa again?) but time limits that, unfortunately.

Founded in 1999 by two cousins, Edge Products has become the premier name for aftermarket performance electronics. Initially, the company was founded on its efforts to produce performance electronics on diesel-powered trucks. Over the years, however, Edge has expanded its offerings to include cutting-edge products for the gas truck and Jeep markets. Edge has twice been named in the Inc. 500.s fastest growing privately held companies and was noted as Utah.s fourth fastest growing company between 1999-2004. Currently, Edge employs more than 100 individuals and resides in a 32,000 square foot facility in Ogden, Utah.

What has been the companies lows?
You know, Brett or Taylor would have to answer these, I don't think I qualify to....

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I was born in the early 80's the last of four. My dad was an avid motor head, modifying anything he could get his hands on. He proudly passed this onto his boys.

I started on fourwheelers, then snowmobiles, built my first 383 stroker motor my senior year in highschool, and put it into a 1991 Chev. ECSB frame off salvage rebuild truck. I then got interested in import cars, and tinkered for a couple years, last project ended with a 2.0ltr making just over 500whp. I lucked into a position here at Edge, and have enjoyed it immensly so far. My wife constantly asks why can't it just stay stock.

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
We'll (my wife and I) be having our first within the next month, baby boy, I'm sure he'll learn to enjoy diesel trucks and other toys at a young age.

What payment types do you accept?
Contact local US reseller.

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
About 7 years. It started as an after hours hobby writing scantool software for an Australian OBD-I engine we were working with.
From there it progressed into an OBD-II scanner, then we branched into tuning tool to complement the scantool.

What has been the companies highs?
Of recent times, seeing the Duramax dominate track events now that a comprehensive tuning option is available via our software to anybody, at at the other end of the scale seeing EFILive users pick up impressive MPG gains through careful / thorough tuning.

What has been the lows?
No local test vehicle, a Duramax in Australia runs near $100K.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I did an electronics diploma back in the early 90's, since then I've worked in every aspect of electronics from motion picture equipment to automotive electronics. I only know how to program in assembly language for CPU32, PowerPC and the Atmel AVR's. Paul (the other programmer) does all the PC side programming in Delphi & C.

What does your company offer as far as product and services?
We offer professional level training specific to engine management and tuning for high performance vehicles throughout the world.

Do you have a member discount and if so explain it?
Not really. We have so many affiliations around the world, that it would be impossible for us to keep up with every group's individual discount.

We do however, always offer some great disounts for those who register early for any class.

What payment types do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard and Cash or Check

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
We have been training folks around the world for about 5 years now (2008) and have taught our courses in more than seven countries.

We specialize in High Performance Engine Tuning that relies on science rather than art to define the end result.

We belive that tuning should not be thought of as just "Black Magic" and that an informed tuner can do the job correctly everytime.

What has been the companies highs?
Really...the people we've met and the places we've been

What has been the lows?
The loss of one of our great friends Earl Laskey, who was instrumental in helping us find our feet in the early beginnings of EFI University.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
Sure. I have about 16 years of experience in building and tuning racing engines, with about 11 of those years focused on EFI equipped engines.

I am a published author on the subject of electronic fuel injection, and my book "Building and Tuning High Performance Electronic Fuel Injection Systems" can be found at most bookstores around the world.

I also hold a Commercial Pilot's License in both the Single and Multi-Engine categories, as well as an FAA Certified Flight Instructor License.

Aside from flying airplanes, I have also jumped out of them (with a parachute) abut 700 times!

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
I live with my wife, Suzanne, and daughter Natalie, who is two. Natalie has a baby sister on the way who is due to arrive in about seven more weeks! Hopefully baby Allison will like flying in Daddy's airplane as much as Natalie does!

We also are very fortunate to have some really terrific instructors at EFI University, all of whom have an enormous amount of skill and dedication to delivering the best materials and helping others grow in their quest for more horsepower!

What does your company offer as far as product and services?
We started back in 1979 as a diesel injection repair shop rebuilding injection pumps, injectors, and turbo chargers. We added drive in service a while back and now offer vehicle repairs, maintenance, and upgrades along with the diesel injection repairs.

Do you have a member discount and if so explain it?
No. We don’t play games with prices. We give everyone the best pricing we can up front.

What payment types do you accept?
Cash, check, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and Pay Pal.

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
My father started the business in 1979 when the GM diesels were just coming out. We did lots of pump and injector work for the Milwaukee area dealerships. The business grew and is an authorized service center for all the major diesel injection manufactures like Bosch, Stanadyne, Delphi, etc. When we started to see the change from mechanical based injection system to electronic injection systems my brother and I decided we needed to offer on-vehicle repairs also. My dad was ready to retire so he told us if that was what we wanted to go for it. We did and he was surprised at how well it took off. We now have thirteen employees and keep real busy. We see more repair work than performance work, but the performance stuff keeps things interesting. We sponsor and organize many local events such as diesel drag races and diesel truck pulls. We like to participate and enjoy the people we meet. It is fun because I am a GM fan, my brother is Dodge, a technician of ours competes with a Dodge, and we even have a Ford fan in house. We all get along and it makes for a fun work environment.

What has been the companies highs?
I would have to say the companies highs are right now. Things are going great and the future is looking bright.

What has been the lows?
I can’t think of many lows. The hard part is the employees. In any business you will have people come and go. It is tough to see people you like leave.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I am pretty boring. I have always liked working on cars and trucks. I was that “gear head” kid in school. I have also been involved in the Boy Scouts of America since I was twelve. I like camping and the outdoors.

Kennedy Sales and Service was started in 1994 as a hobby business selling utility trailers. In 1995 I was laid off from my full time job in a local Ag manufacturing company and went full time with trailers. In the late 90’s I started messing around with GM diesel trucks and began working to improve them. Shortly thereafter I discontinued the trailer sales to focus on diesels.

I’m a Dmax guy through and through. I own at present a 2002 LB7, 2005 LLY, and 2007 LBZ and have owned in the past a 1984 6.2 a 1995 6.5 turbo, and 1986 Iveco Z220. I am not a “Johnny come lately” just here to make a quick and easy buck. I drive, tune, and test on my own vehicles.

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
We are a small Company with just 3 of us here. I handle phone tech duties, limited service work and installations, product development, dyno work and tuning. Elaine (my significant other of many years) handles all invoicing, paperwork, ordering, etc. Carol (Elaine’s mother) covers shipping, warehouse duties, and relief phone duty in my absence. I also have a helper JJ (JJGMC on the forum) who comes in for larger projects. Order placement is handled solely via our web store and fax leaving me time to focus on phone tech and my other duties.

Labonte MotorSports began research in 2002 to apply water injection technology on a supercharged gasoline engine. The goal was to increase horse power without the need for C116 high octane race gas and to overcome the limitations of air to air intercoolers. The result was a load based progressive injection system that added 80hp to a V-8 engine running 91 octane pump gas while lowering intake air temperatures by up to 130°F.
After production began of the first VC-25 injection controller, LMS began research to apply the technology on turbo charged diesel engines. The result was more horsepower, torque, lower NOx and particulate mater, lower Exhaust Gas temperature (EGT) and increase in fuel economy.

I started out life in college and graduated BSU with a pre-med degree. I passed on going for more schooling so I started doing low voltage electrical work. That led to doing pneumatic tubing work and the purchase of my first diesel truck. That was a Dodge Cummins in '99. That truck got one of the first TST Powermax 2 boxes made and spawned a rather expensive hobby (at the time). Later I bought a '02 Dodge and built it to race which ran a 12.03 @ 114mph in 2003. It also start me into building twin turbos. In late '04 I was asked to work on twins for the Duramax. So in early '05 I started working on them and the first set took about 3 weeks to get done on a LLY. Then I did another set on a LB7 in about 2 weeks. Parts availibility was a huge factor in the time frame. Since then I have improved the basic set up numerous times. Presently I am working on a 800 to 1100hp kit for the Duramaxes as well as the Dodges along with other high performance items.

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
I've been in business as Nor Cal Truck for two years now. I've personally been in the industry selling parts and building trucks for
just over eight years. Within the last couple of years, the demand for one off custom trucks has greatly increased in our area. The true truck enthusiast is looking for a custom build, not a "cookie cutter" look that can be easily duplicated by the guy next door. With that being said, I found that I could fill this need, open up shop, and give the service people are looking for.

What has been the companies highs?
Since opening our doors in 2005, we've been fortunate enough to have great success in what we do and have been very well accepted in the industry as well as by the enthusiasts. I'm so grateful to be able to do something that I really love and have a passion for.

What has been the lows?
The only "low" that comes to mind is the fact that the demand is so high that we really struggle at times to keep up with it. It can be
disappointing at times to know that you've let someone down by not being able to get to them as quickly as you'd hope to.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
Trucks, dirtbikes, off-roading ... just the typical story of growing up around it all. Somehow it all worked out to where I am now, doing what I love.

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
I formed the business in 02' during the NFL off-season when I was playing for the Arizona Cardinals. I had quite a bit of down time so I decided to start modding my truck. This led to me dealing with a bunch of vendors and making some friends in the industry. With the recommendation of one, I decided to start my own online business. It was tough at first attracting customers and establishing a foundation, but eventually everything fell into place. I am now living the American dream doing exactly what I love.

What has been the companies highs?

What has been the lows?

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I am 28 years old and married with two children (Jack 3, Isabella 4). I also have 3 dogs, two American Bulldogs and a Chihuahua for the wife. We are currently in Houston TX, but I am from Minnesota originally.

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
When I got started in this business, diesel performance was just taking off. The true reason I got started was to help people find the best products for thier needs. At the time I didnt need the money as I was in the NFL so it was something constructive to do with my spare time. I have since quit playing football and focused on my business full time. It has been challenging as there are new companies popping up daily trying to jump on the diesel bandwagon. We try to offer the best pricing possible with unsurpassed customer service. The dieselplace has been very good to us so in turn we take care of the members here. We thank you for your continued support of our company. If you need anything, you know where to find us!

His knowledge has been sought after by Ford, Chevy, Kawasaki, Ofenhauser, and many other popular raceteams in every facet of the sport. In the mid '80s we sold off Jardine Header Co. Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I am an ASE and GM certified master tech. I have also been trained by International, Isuzu, Cummins and the US Navy. I have been playing with engines and such since I was about 3 years old. At that age my Father would point to things on an engine and I could name nearly everything, it used to amaze his friends. Since then I've just been interested in anything that has an engine. I was in the US Navy as a Construction Mechanic (seabee), and received formal training with diesel engines. I then started work as a medium-duty truck technician at a dealership, specializing in Isuzu trucks/engines. I began working on the Isuzu engines in 1994, and the common-rail engine in 1997 when it became available on medium-duty Isuzu trucks. The dealership had Isuzu, GMC, Hino, Volvo truck, Detroit Diesel and Cummins franchises, so I was able to gain experience in a wide variety of diesel engines and trucks. In 2002 I decided to work on light-duty GM vehicles (duramax pick-ups). This came very natural as I was already familiar with the common-rail system since I was working on it when it was first introduced in the medium-duty vehicles. Sometime in 2005 I decided to go on my own and the rest is history. I still stay up on the recent technology by maintaining close relationships with dealer technicians and service managers of GM, Ford, and Dodge dealerships.

St Joseph Diesel was established in 1976 specializing in diesel fuel injection repair. With-in the first year of operation the company purchased it's first test stand from the Robert Bosch Corporation seeing a growing need for repairs in this specialized field. We also started servicing the needs of the tractor-pulling world by providing high performance fuel systems and turbo chargers to pullers across the country.

Today, St Joseph Diesel is now in its second generation as a family business. We have grown into a full line factory authorized fuel injection repair station as well as a distributor for all major brands of turbochargers. We offer many performance products for automotive, agriculture, and construction applications. No

What payment types do you accept?
MC/Visa

How long has your company been is business and can you give us a little background on it?
The establishment of Sun Coast Converters in 1989 by Joe Webb and Ron Wolverton was in answer to the demand for a quality after-market torque converter. The company was founded on the premise that quality in manufacturing, durability, and performance was the only consideration in torque converter production. By responding to a market that demanded a superior product Sun Coast has enjoyed continuous growth and success for over 18 years. Our mission is to identify all cause of complaints, failures, and inherent malfunctions in OEM transmissions. We will formulate data and technology, design and manufacture parts to correct the cause of complaints and failures. We will increase torque capacity thru data plus parts and exceed demands created by addition of increased power and load. We will deliver a superior transmission that will put the power and torque of your diesel to the ground, with durability and drive ability.

What has been the companies highs?
With the introduction of light duty diesel truck in the early 90's, Sun Coast responded to the increasing demands for torque converters and transmissions that would enhance the performance and durability of the light duty diesel truck. Production began in limited capacity and as reputation and demand grew, so did the company.

What has been the lows?
Our loss of my friend and partner Joe Webb. 12-12-06.

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?
I learn how to walk in a transmission shop in the 60s and Joe started building transmissions in my grandfathers shop that he started in 1955 in Jackson MS. I live to design and producing torque converters and transmission parts that fix complaints.

What about Family, employee's, and any other info you'd like to share?
We have a close net family of long term employee's that has help build a great company. And I thank my great wife Margo for standing with me and understanding of the long days it takes to stay on the leading edge. I enjoy the fact that my oldest son Jerry has followed my steps in the torque converter field and our youngest son Chris enjoys the transmission side of the business.

Shocker Motorsports since 2002 is an 8 year veteran of Suspension, Drivetrain, and 4x4 Repair out of Bakersfield California. The owner, Pat Gerber is a second generation custom 4×4 shop owner. Shocker isn’t only a high quality custom shop but also the name of Pat’s personal Monster Truck! It’s no doubt Pats love for the sport translates into VERY happy customers of Shocker Motorsports.
Take the kids out to see Pat and his Shocker Monster Truck!

What has been the companies highs?
We have great customer return. We now have a Hot Wheel a few versions of our SHOCKER monster truck. We also are apart of the Monster Jam series out here on the west coast. We get to meet many customers and fans at the events. Pat Gerber at Shocker has been involved with motorsports and 4x4's his entire life and lives it everyday.

What has been the lows?
There are always lows in this business... we just like LIFTING them.

"Turn your stocker into a SHOCKER"

Now can you give us a little background on yourself?

Shocker Motorsports (SM) has been racing its Shocker Monster Trucks since 1990. Before SM entered the motorsports scene, SM was known as Ed’s 4x4 Repair. Ed’s 4x4 was established by Ed Gerber in 1968 and primarily served the local community with all of their off-road and performance needs. Over the years Ed & Pat worked together on building highly technical and specialty projects which included building a complete monster truck for a customer. Pat was extremely excited and proud of this accomplishment and was later asked by the customer to be the driver for the monster truck they had built. Shortly after, Ed realized Pat’s ambition and purchased the truck they built from its owner so his son could race Monster Trucks. In late 1999 Ed Gerber passed away leaving Pat at the helm of the family business. Following the inspirations and vision of his father, Pat took the family business to the next level and organized Shocker Motorsports.
Today, SM still has the same key family values of honesty and integrity that has made the business successful over the years while implementing new product innovations and technologies. SM has grown to be a highly respected and recognized company in the field of aftermarket off-road truck accessories and Monster Truck racing. SM participates in Monster Truck events all over the West Coast, and attracts attention from people of all ages. Since 1990 Shocker Monster Trucks have grown to be among the most popular in the business receiving recognition in several publications, media, and even Mattel Toys. With a history of over 14 years in Monster Truck racing, SM continues to grab the attention of motorsport enthusiasts all over the country and retains the most loyal customers and fans in the industry. We appreciate everyone’s support in making SM and our Shocker Monster Trucks so popular and successful over the years!
