Just had my fuel filter changed for the 2nd time.. 17k on 03.Was due for oil change anyway.. The problem is that when I shut off the engine about 1 sec chugging before shutting off?? Also in last month seem to have lost some PEP?? I ask the Dealer to "check it out", but says every thing is fine!!! Any idea or am I being too Picky??http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

That engine should die as soon as you shut the key off, all I have seen do including our company trucks. Find another tech or go to Ask the Tech's and post. Eric will have you an answer.

Funny you mention it, but my '03 is doing the same thing on occasion. Most of the time it shuts down immediately, but in the past few months, I'd get about 1 sec. of dieselling. I was waiting for the problem to get worse before I came here with it but now that it's out...
I'm not sure about my power--I have the California smog on it with the egr, cc, etc. and figure that the bog below about 2k rpm is attributed to that (not a bad bog, but stepping on it doesn't do as much as easing into it). However once I'm over 2k rpm that thing flies! I was hoping that if I got it chipped that the bog would go away (would also like to remove all that CA smog crap 'cause I don't live in friggin' CA!)
Can anyone confirm the dieselling and in my case, the performance?Edited by: donmiller714
