I have been using wix fuel filters. I contacted WIX and was informed that their filter is rated at 2 microns.

Doesn't matter what name is on the OEM style fuel filter, they are all made by Racor.

Same product different label.

I bought some filters online that are Parker Interceptor #INF4598. According to Parker they are rated at 2 microns. I spoke to a tech rep at Parker/Racor and Redapple is right they make the Wix and Baldwin and a few others. He wasn't sure if they make them for AC/Delco. He also mentioned that a lot of guys are using the 660R10 as a prefilter. Would that be the same as the Cat filter?? I don't know about the warranty issue but I'm sure DmaxalliTech is right........

Parker Hannefin (aka Racor) builds a pre-0EM fuel filter kit with a heater and a WIF sensor designed in cooperation with GM to work with your existing DIC and truck wiring.

IIRC, it's an RK 32313. That kit comes with the 660R10 filter, which is 10 micron, since Racor believes a two stage filter process is better than running a pair of 2 micron filters.

There's a lot of debate about that idea around here.

One of the vendors here will sell you a kit made up of Racor components with a 2 micron filter if you want.
