Hi all,
First,Newbie here, would like to say thank you to everyone on this site.Way to much info for a novice. I found this site when I was looking for info on the duramax. What a placehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gifLong story short; Ordered my first d-max 2500hd cc sb slt on 6-28-04 Dealer says to call middle of july to get build date. So I wait, make call on August 5th dealer says that my order was picked up but can't find order at factory. Dealer says call back next day they will have an answer. So I call and no order found. They order another truck and said call back next week. So make call following week, still no build date but truck was put on rush order http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif Call next week they say. So I call and guess what now I have 2 trucks on order. The other truck reappears. But still no date. Stopped by dealer today and finally got a build date, the new build date is 9-20-04, for BOTH trucks. Delivery on October 25th 2004. This waiting thing is killing me. Hope this is not a bad omen. Thanks again to all, this site is awesome. I have all the toys waiting, 4" lift, 285 tires, 16x8 ION 165 series rims, exhaust, head rest DVD & TV's, Horizon navigation system,Bed rug,Ranch cover,Rancho 9000 shocks, and when I get the vin number the TTS tow tune. 6 weeks is a longggggg time.

285s with a 4" lift will not look good at all. 285s will fit fine on a stock truck. I run 305s on a nonlifted truck.

dwrat,
The people installing the lift said the same thing. They want to install 305 nitto grapplers. I saw one on the dealer lot today. Same setup as mine but not a d-max.Looks nice, but I have allways had Bridgestone tires and I don't think they make a 305. How do you like the nitto's?

dwrat,
Thanks for the reply on the pm. I still am undecided but I am leaning to 295 nitto as they are a bit taller and not as wide as the 305. Better for snow.

A little bird told me that both of my trucks are on the way. Built on
different days and shipped on different days. The first will be here
wednesday. Should be dropped of the train at 4 am. Finally!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
