My pre OEM filter is supposed to be arriving tomorrow and I was wondering how I bleed the system after I install it and later when I do filter changes. I am thinking that I will start it and then it will stall and then the air will be in the OEM filter and then I will follow the normal bleed process. Is that how it works?

Use the OEM bleeder as normal.
Pump pump pump till you get clear fluid.

Works best if you fill the filters up before installing them. The first time I did it the other way and it is quite messy as the diesel is very bubbly for many pumps.

If you don't fill them first it will take over 100 pumps, whew !! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif

wont i be getting a bunch of straight diesel out of the bleeder until the air makes it's way from back by the tank where I am going to mount the filter? Sounds messy.

I don't think I would fill the OEM filter, that unfiltered fuel goes straight to the injectorshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Throw Up.gif The frame mount, yes, it gets run throught the OEM.
