I have been waiting all week for a supply order number from the dealership for my 2007 GMC Crewcab LMM.

The salesman called me this afternoon to give me the number - but with a warning. He said the number has no prodcution date and "had not been picked up due to a supply constraint on part number N-89 - the 17-inch wheels."

He said his order person had been sitting on the number for two days waiting for more information from GM - but finally gave it to the salesman. The saleman said he had no information as to how long this "constraint" would last....

Anyone else run into this "contraint" problem or have any more information?

Howard - I pm'd and emailed you the order number.

BTW: He also said there were a lot of orders pouring into the system from around the country.

Well - I'll bump my own thread....

I have not seen or heard any information from anyone regarding this same situation.

None of you folks working for GM have heard of supply problems for 17-inch wheels have you?

I am wondering if my dealership is stalling for some unkown reason....

I ordered an extended cab 2500 hd, LMM, with the SLT pkg that includes the 17" wheels On January 16th my production date is 3/12. I wonder if the wheels were the slow up.

That is correct! The tires are still a problem. The wheels aren't the problem! You got your trucks in the system before the problem. A TPW (Targeted - Called that cause it keeps moving - Production Week) is just that & this is proof of why it happens & exists. Hickups happen & when they do the only way to fix the problem is to set back the TPW on those trucks affected by the problem. I will keep you posted! Howard

From what you are saying about the 17" tires I assume my TPW of 2/26/2007 will be moved back. Guess I'd better park my trade. I'm within 500 miles of the agreed max odometer reading!

I am assuming that the RPO number "N89" is for the GMC Sierra and the Silverado is using RPO P25 for the 17 inch wheels. Are these the same exact tires and wheels and are they both constrained? How long do these constraints usually last?

Thanks
