Would disconnecting the EGR cause any problems for the edge/***. I went into limp mode for the first time after fueling up and Sunoco. I have had the egr off for a couple of weeks without any lights, and I have had the edge on level 3 with low fuel at 4 with locked shifts. Any correlation or do I just have to hope it is ok in 5 minutes?>http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

EGR disconnect shouldn't make any difference. Sounds like you're ready for Suncoast III. You might want to consider defueling all locked shifts.

thanks, will do. This is the first time Ive had any slippagehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif. I drove 200 miles tonight without any problems after I let it sit for a little. Seems fine now.

I really beat on it on the highway and jumped a camaro ss at a stoplight. You should of seen this dudes http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gifface! He wanted to play for several miles after that. Gotta love it. ( i did this after the limp this afternoon)

is there any way running on level 3 could have done this.....the first week that i had my truck i was on level 3...then i read that its not good for the tranny..............so now im on level 2...can anyone verify this or not....thanks

Well its more likely that not you have already done damage to the tranny. Anytime you go into limp mode its not good. Level 3 is probably ok if you dont hammer on it, its safe to say not to go above level 2 until you upgrade your tranny.

I had an 01 that I put into limp home mode about 75 times. Stacked chips at the track and all. I switched to the Transend and put another 50,000 miles on the truck towing and then sold it. I don't recomend slipping it, but it seams to take it, with good fluid.
