I need (want) a lift kit. There are so many differant companies, Im going crazy. I own a 2003 2500HD EC/LB with the duramax. What I want are some good real life opinions. I want the best kit out there. A six inch lift is all I need. Dual front shocks are a must. Ive been warned about axle wrap and wear and tear on steering components. I want to maintain towing capacity and durability. Ive never played around with a lifted truck so this is all new to me.

i would recommend either the cst or rcd lifts, the rancho is fine but it is only a 4" lift. i would stay away from procomp and skycraper. jmho.

what are you towing??? 6 inch lift almost puts you out of the ball park for towing, hitch height wise, especially for 5th wheel TT's. If you're using a drop hitch now, add 6" plus half the tire height increase to your hitch height and see where you are, also a lot of kits only give you 7/16 rear U bolts which are smaller than stock, you will have to get larger bolts for max towing, also factor axle wrap with longer rear blocks.....

cst........fully functional up to 8" of lift and you can grow into the kit if you wanna go bigger.....
