started my truck up tonite wich had set for a day come back outside after warm time and my edge evo was showing 2200 fluxuating egt* . we had some rain nite before then temp drop and everything iced up could that be it. i drove on to town never over 55mph. and they droped down to 1900* i'm on stage 2 an 32000mls. i dont ever pull much. noticed not as much turbo whistle on way back 10mls round trp. reckon its just a glitch cause of cold temps. egt's should'nt get that high idling for warm up ???? :( any advice i'm worried THANKS.

ok so your egt guage was reading 2200 degrees there is something wrong with your edge cause thats not possible you motor would be a puddle of metal if that was actually the case. hey don't get pissed at the dper's a title thread says 2200 its gonna get views. mls stand for miles??? you can learn anything and everything when it comes the dmax on this site but don't get mad if there isn't a response in 60 seconds

I think you already know that this is a glitch, otherwise your truck would have over heated ... where you have to go from here?? Maybe get a new edge ... they have had a lot of various problems over the last couple of years with their boxes screwing up .... as matter of fact so many I didn't buy their product ... or then it could be probe it self ... if the temp probe is electric you could have a problem with the wires as well

I had exactly the same problem with my Edge/Atitude. Turned out to be a bad pyro probe. Replaced the probe and never had the problem again. If your Edge is not very old, call them up and I think they will send you a new probe. They have seen this problem before.

got an infrared temp gun? shoot the spot where the probe is installed. It won't be exact but close. Beside 2200F I'd think your manifolds would be glowing.
Good Luck.
Dude, you posted this in two different sections and it got answered in the other one and you get mad because nobody answered you in this one?
