Please try to excuse my ignorance...
But, Is it possible for diesel to mold?
I ask this because I have purchased some diesel recently that just did not smell right. It had a sort of moldy odor. I have had some bucking, shaking, coughing and spitting problems while using this fuel. Could poor fuel be an answer to my maladies. I have changed fueling sites, perhaps all my problems may just fade away...
Or am I dreaming?!?

In a word, YES...
Or so to speak. Diesel fuel can have bacteria growing in it due to heat, moisture and lack of turn over or use. That's one of the reasons your truck has a fuel cooling radiator on the return fuel line to the tank. Cool off the fuel and you have less possibility of condensation forming in the tank.
I don't use my truck a lot, so I use a Stanadyne Bacteriocide when I fill it up.
So don't store diesel for any extended period of time, probably not a bad idea to treat any stored diesel fuel.
But that's just my $.02 worth...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

DLA,
You may also want to change the fuel filter... If you have crud in the tank it may have accumulated in the filter too...

And when it dies it'll plug the filter,,,,pronto!
Microbial growth is a lot bigger problem than most people think.
