Is it bad for my cat that my truck blows black smoke now with the edge evo....and i read a post on the forum that someone said not good that it blows black smoke without the truck being blocked and fingered... is this true...basically now with the evo is black smoke gonna ruin my cat and do i need to get an egr blocker and finger it

to answer your question.yes that kind of smoke will eventually clog your cat.i still dont get the reason for a cat on a diesel anyways.your best bet is to remove it and if you have to do the dealer thing you can just put it back. as with the finger stick and blocker plate that just keeps your truck from setting codes(stick)and keeps the diesel soot out of your crankcase
i.e. black dirty oil.they wont help it not smoke.i hope this can help you

can it ever be too loud? just remember you will get that jet sound.i think it sounds kinda cool(for a while)after you hack it off drive it around for a couple of minutes with the windows down:eek: :eek:.be sure to jump on it a couple of times:D

Update your evo. The new tunes don't smoke that much and seem about the same power with better shifting. The blocker plate keeps soot out of your INTAKE.

didnt even make it to the muffler shop...stop at the gas station on the way there and realize that something is dripping from the back of the truck....i look under neath and where the axle shaft goes into the rear differential there is fluid everywhere, so i turned around and its at the stealer now getting warranty work :banghead:
