Had lunch with a friend at his farm today. Knowing he's used diesel trucks/tractors for c**tless years , I asked him what brand of oil he used. He said "John Deere' like there isn't any other kind. We talked about it and he says he's never had any trouble with it and he uses his equipment hard but maintains it well. Any of you guys out there using John Deere Oil, any comments. Second question. Does anybody know of a source for Schaeffers oil in the San Antonio area. Thanks.

I can't imagine that John Deere specs their oils, but could be.


I wonder who's the mystery manufacturer supplying them eith their branded oil?
