Does the 06 GMC Savanna van or 06 Chevy Express have a tach signal wire hidden somewhere. The van does not have a factory tachometer and I want to install a tachometer. Don't know what kind of tachometer to use. How will the tachometer receive its signal?

The van has the same ECM as the 06 LBZ pickup truck so I am speculating that there must be a tach signal wire somewhere in the harness that is simply not connected.

My van has an 06 LLY Duramax.

Anyone know?

I dont know about the van but on an 06 2500HD it is pin 55 on the ECM the wire is white. This is the wire I tapped into for my nitous system to receive an RPM signal and it worked perfect my nitrous system comes on at exactly what RPM I set it to. I dont know what kind of tach you should use sorry. do you think you could use a factory 06 2500HD tach from a diesel?do you think it will fit if so you could install it and have a dealer flash it to work. I am just speculating I dont know if this will help its just an idea hope this helps.
