Is there any info out there as to how long GM has been aware that there is a serios problem with the injectors? How many vehicles are involved.Any lawsuits or court action that has been taken?Mybrother, the family lawer has indicated to me that there may be cause for a suit if this problem had been identified and escalating prior to my purchase in such that--"it could be argued that they willingly and knowingly sold vehicles that they knew were defective or would become defective"

Any info or comments ?

Law suit? no.. not life threatning.

I have to agree with the above post that it is a waste of time to sue over this. So far GM is standing behind the product and offering extended warranties. The only winner in this suit would be the greedy, dirt sucking lawyers that feed off of others misfortune.

Thanks guys--Guess it is the frustration and ANXIETY more than anything.I did send a letter to about 20 GM e-mail addresses i managed to find and today i got a call from a nice lady who wanted to review my comments with me before calling the dealer, and then she would call me back.

She did--and informed me thatmy injectors should be at the dealer today and hopefully my truck will be ready TOMORROW---WITH the oil change and filter and the underside washed.UNBELIEVABLE,seeing as Monday one dealer told me 2 weeks before he could look at it and another told me it would be 4 weeks.

In spite of all the horror stories i have read since last Fri. night it would sem to be right that GM is standing behind those with injector issues.i can honestly say that the GM person i spoke with is and the dealer has been there since i first approached him.So far on this issue i am satisfied------I repeat SO FAR!!I just hope there are no more issues with the truck as a result of this problem.

My injectors were replaced yesterday and I picked the truck up today. Everything seems to be great except, my DIC is now saying Im averaging 10.0mpg when before the replacement I was getting 18.6+. Gonna take her for a ride tonight and check it out some more. Ill call the dealer in the morning if it doesn't change.

Phheeeewwww...alls well so far after the first day back. After taking the truck for a ride the mpg's (according to the DIC) are back into the 19's and low 20's. These are slightly higher than my norm but I wasn't really driving as "hard" as I normally would. I actually was in the low 22's for awhile. That would be awsome if it had lasted.

maynard,
You may want to check your milage manually... The DIC on my 03 reads about 1 mpg higher than what I calculate by hand...

Well--i got another question on these injectors.Having read the Service Bulletin relating to Policy04039,they have a list of parts to be used and the injectors and kit is PART # 97729095.Would they be NEW INJECTORS or RE-MANUFACTURED.
