On my 02, I used Allisons deep metal pan with long pickup and Transynd, changing fluid every 25,000 to 30,000 miles. Worked great. On my 05 which is sitting in prep at the dealer, I am considering putting on one of the alloy deep finned pans to assist in cooling (though 02 NEVER went over 200 even towing 33000 GCVW and normally ran 150 - 160). Questions are: Do they cool better? Do you use Allisons deep pickup tube?
