Today while i was parellel parking i reversed in, stoped and then shifted into drive. The truck wouldn't move, pressed the gas still not moving. Checked the shifter to see if it was in good it was. So i just sat that and waited. Then i heard like a hydralic noise (like when you turn the stearing wheel all the way and you hear the pump straining) and the truck surges forward.
Any ideas on what happened?
yeah i know my spelling sucks

How many miles? Mine did that a couple times when I first got it(less than 500 miles). Also the lights in the cab were intermittent (sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't). Checked the wiring box under the dash and found a connector loose. Got it plugged in tight and hasn't done it for the last 3000 miles. Don't know if they were related but is somewhat suspicious.

k_lou, you may want to check fluid level.

The fuild level was good. I think the tourqe converter drained out. But i heard that only happens when the truck has been sitting for a week or so. Mines was on for an hour. Took it to the dealer, they could't reproduce it

You mean NSBU Switch?

K_Lou, what year truck do you have. GM switch to a better NSBU switch that is tan after the 2002 year model. If you have the tan NSBU switch I did not hink it is the problem. However if is the NSBU your problem with it not moving when you put it in drive will get worse and worse.
