New truck to me , '02 GMC , cab chassis,4x4,DRW, D/A. Mods that I know off , banks stinger chip , big head actuator , 4" buulydog exhaust.

The problem , SES light on , code shows PO571 , cruise control brake switch circuit . Truck is not equiped with cruise control . Any clues ????

A fuse?

Mine threw a P0571 for no particular reason about 6 month ago (didn't trigger an SES light though). I do have cruise control and there was nothing wrong with it. Cleared the code and never saw it again :confuzeld
