What type of 1/4 mile time are you guys seeing and what type of upgrades to you have?

Just wondering how far ahead if any the 6.0 ford is.

Look on the dragracing forum but here is one of the faster times, Jake posted this:

A clip from the local newspaper

"Records set at Byron,IL

Two track records were set Saturday at Byron Dragway.

Bobby Reynolds of Roscoe broke the elapsed time and speed records for diesel trucks. Driving a 6,950-pound 2003 Chevy LT Duramax, Reynolds covered the quarter-mile in 11.88 seconds at 115.91 mph. The former bests: 12.26 at 114.85.

I don't follow performance topics closely but I remembered reading the following TDP post by Michael Tomac: (cool video)

12.00@112.28 mph video of the Duramax (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=007674)

high teens stock. I don't think that getting an LLY into the 13's would be tough.

At the Edge Drags/Dyno event last week in Utah I did not see any Fords running 13 seconds in the quarter. The fastest trucks there were either Dodge's or Duramax's. The single turbo drag eliminator was an '02 Duramax running in the low 14's.

The ATS Duramax and a Dodge from Performance Chips ran in the low 13's with lots of modifications. The Ford showing was poor.

seems like on the dieselstop they are claiming the 6.0 with a tuner will get into the 13s.. the could be full of it but still on the board http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big%20Smile.gif

Stock Standard Cab Long Box 2wd. LLY with TTS exhaust kit only

16.302 @ 83.398

16.210 @ 84.345

Add TTS Tow Tune

15.132 @ 89.220

14.982 @ 90.799

The stock runs were at the end of the event and the temperatures dropped about 15 deg betweeen the two stock runs. The Tow tune runs were in the heat of the day. Track is at 2700' and truck was launched @ 1700 RPM on all runs no Tow/Haul.

My 04 LLY EC/SB 4x4 ran 16.6 @84.5mph, after the juice I ran 15.1 @ 92mph in level 3 T/H mode launching in 4x4 at 2400rpms, level 5 low fueling and defueling all shifts. Then got 14.91@ 91.4mph doing the exact same thing except only defueling the 4-5 shift. My best 2x4 run was 15.5 @ 93.6mph using the same set up but leaving the line with no boost, just punching it--you can't leave the line making boost in 2x4--too much tire spin!
