Yes, others have and with mixed results. I recommend you try something other than this one. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

For less than $300 more you can have 485/1000+++ at the wheels

They claim 230HP and 450ft-lbs more at the wheels for the new "hot" version. Seems a little more than Quad's claim of 215HP and 424ft-lbs at the wheels too for 300$ less than the Quad 215.

I just wanted to see if their claim is valid...

I emailed one of their vendors asking if they would guarantee the dyno numbers. I didn't get a response. Enough said.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

I was also wondering about the Xcelerator. I was thinking about getting one because ATS swears by this thing. They told me the Xcelerator was the single biggest increase in power they have ever seen. I was thinking about getting one because when they stacked a regular TST (which I already have) with the regular Xcelerator they made about 550 hp at the wheels.

So before I go waste my money on it, can anybody tell me why it is bad or good? Or what is a good box to stack with the TST?

Thanks

PM PEANUTGRWR (javascript openWin('pop_up_profile.asp?PF=92','profile','tool bar=0,location=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=1,r esizable=1,width=590,height=425')) he is the only one I can recall who is running one.

Also try a search in the Power and Performance forum, there was a lengthy discussion awhile back.

I run it stacked with Hot Juice 120hp and it seems ok however I have never dynoed and never tried anything different. Just MHO.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif I have talked with PEANUTGRWR (http://dieselplace.com/forum/javascript%20openWin('pop_up_profile.asp?PF=92','p rofile','toolbar=0,location=0,status=0,menubar=0,s crollbars=1,resizable=1,width=590,height=425')) and he did like it too. (from what I recall.)

blnagel: Do you have the regular or the new hot version?

Regular. I will keep it since it will change odometer for different tires, and remove speed limiter.

I have been running the reg. since may. Been very pleased with the unit. PPE also told me that they will upgrade the reg. units to the newer HOT. Not had to time to get back in touch with Joe at PPE to get copies of dyno results.

There was a guy with a pre-release version of this tuner running at Carslsbad the weekend it closed. He was also running a Duramaximizer and what he called a "big" shot of nitrous so it wasn't possible to see what the box did alone. His truck was 2WD so he couldn't hook up, but did run the identical time I did (13.58) but his speed was about 108 - he just couldn't get out of the hole.
