I've been having some problems with my tranny and I can't find out what it is. At first the indicators on the dash only would lite on certain gears (the back lite that tells you what gear your in). Then I went to park in a spot and put the truck in reverse, and it went into nutral and will not go into any gear any more. No drive, no reverse, no nothing except for park. The shift indicator dosen't blink like it is inhibited. The lite behind the gears now lights up in each gear on the dash but with no action. Any one know what could be wrong? The shifter has full movement.

I have had this happen to me twice SD. I had to reset truck back to stock and cycle the key.

I don't know what it was, but i was able to get underway again.

SD the quickest way to find out if it is your NSBU switch is to replace it. If it does not change then you have a spare. You can diagnose it with tests and a scanner, but as often as they go out ( especialy in harsh climates) it is the best way.

Flash as in blinking?

Normally if the indicator flashes it means there is a code stored in the TCM. There are codes for the NSBU.

Truck went to Clints place today. Still same problem after I changed the NSBU switch. They don't know what it could be either. Jake suggested a broken input shaft. Only when parking though, I said? It sounds like there is something loose in there. Shift linkage mayby?

Finally got the truck back today. It tuned out to be a line pressure sensor switch. It is inside the the pan under the valve body. All good now.

Suncoast Owners do we believe this cover up? Four days of diagnostics?

Keeping it real!

They didn't get to it till yesterday afternoon. I was about an hour worth of labor and $95 part. They need more bays and more workers.
