I am looking on how to do a simple lift for my trcuk. I have heard of 2" blocks. Is this correct? Where do you get them? Ease of install? I dont want to spend $1500 for a large lift kit. I just want to go simple. I turned to tension bars already and I guess the next step would be the green keys. Right? Thanks
Ben
green keys will let you crank more but the ride gets really bouncy and you lose down travel. AT 2" inches, the green keysride better than do the stock keys. you can add blocks to the rear if yiou worry about nose up while towing. I would also replace the factory shocks as that will improve the ride if you have not donw so. the only way to get more lift is to go to the 4" rancho kit and higher from there.

Seems like when I have the torsion bars cranked up the caster camber gets beyond the adjustment range.
My ideal lift is a solid axle Dana 60F swap up front and longer leafsprings in the back.
This is a rear shackel flip I did to ride a lincon welder in the back w/o sagging the springs.
It gave me 8" of lift.

What is this? Would this work?

BabyfaceDavid reminded me of this post to possibly solve the shock problem.....http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9925&PN=1
Looks like master2p found a simple solution.

Overloads are like helper springs that go on top of the stock leaf spring. They have a higher tension rate than the stock springs and will not let them give as much under load.

How does one turn the overloads? I looked at my leaf spings and I only see the curved on top and 1 straight on the bottom. Where is this overload at then? What about turning the back end bracket upside down and that would change the height of the rear?

You have to add them Ben. You can buy them from any trailering shop or off road shop.
