Posting this for my bro who is stuck on the side of the road awaiting a tow...Started truck this am and ran it for about 1/2hr. shut it down..got in a bit later to make the trek from NH to CT and amde it about another 1/2hr down the road when it would start to run rough and kinda hic-up when you got on it...shortly after he had all he could do to keep it running long enough to get it off the highway...now it sit unable to start/idle nothing...he check to see if he might have lost a prime...primer on fuel filter wouldn't move...he undid the bleeder on the filter and could get nothing out of it...sounds like a bad fuel/gelling problem...just looking for insight ....his being towed and put into a heated barn any ideas??

Could be fuel gelling or ice in the fuel based on the outside air temps you guys are getting today.
When did he last get fuel?
Change the fuel filter and see if you can get pump up the prime.

Filled up on Friday and problems shortly there after?
Might want to throw some additive in the tank as well. Could be gelling. Could be critters. Sounds like something has possibly clogged the filter or fuel system. :(

Sounds like classic gelled filter. My OPINION is that the fuel stations and oil companies were banking on the warm winter and skimped on additive. It hit -12F Saturday and I gelled up. Barely got to the fuel station, filled and added a 2x dose of PS white. I had to take it thru a heated full service car wash and had the guy really hose the nictane filter down for a couple minutes with hot water. After the hot wash and heated dry, the gel went down some, the additive worked some and I got it to a buddies heated garage for 3 hours or so. I've been hesitant to run it as the temps went to -13F now.
