Not sure what the thread is, but it might be a common one. Take a look at this thread from one of the Vendors here:

Might be something you want to investigate doing, either if the dealer doesn't have the plastic one, or later. He also sells a stainless steel version of the bleed screw, but that won't do you much good tommorrow. Maybe for a spare later?

His web site is in the sig or: http://www.lubespecialist.com/

yeah, i have plans to order a stainless one as soon as monday morning, but maybe if the dealer doesn't have one (which i doubt they will even know what it is) i can find something to hold me over till i get that ss one in, the thread is course and seems to be common i figure it will be just a matter of finding one short enough, we'll see in the morning when the stores start opening.

I think that it might be a 10mm thread that you are looking for...for the band aid fix. ...better check to be sure.

If so get a short bolt and apply some anti-seize sealant to it until you get a more "permanent" fixture.

BTW, you can use a longer bolt--just put a nut on it to jam it to the appropriate length.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gifEdited by: T-Rex

Dittos to T-Rex's post... Also remember to reuse the O-ring from the old bleed screw...

matt m, off subject but, when you said your Dad was getting your part for ya, it brought back memories of my Dad. I lost him 5 years ago. You never get over it, you just get use to it. He was always there for me. Enjoy.......

yeah, it's nice that he is pretty close to my age closer than my other friends' dads anyway, i am 26 and he is 49, he is always willing to help. i just felt dumb having two vehicles in the garage and i can't drive either one of them! LOL!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif
