Street Pro (a The Diesel Place.com sponsor) needs your help –We have been asked by many customers to provide inexpensive and easy to use “couplers” or “adaptors” to facilitate the use of our 4” Power Master cutout into Dodge / Cummins environments without the aid of exhaust shops or welding by the consumer. This will be a part that will allow installation of the cutout by means of “band clamps” . If you are not sure what our cutout looks like, please take a look at www.streetpro.us (http://www.streetpro.us/) The part will fit over our 4” OD cutout and over the existing Dodge / Cummins exhaust pipe aft of the down pipe and forward of the muffler and / or cat. The question is: EXACTALY what is the outside diameter of a Cummins powered Dodge stock exhaust pipe in that location and did the size of this pipe change over the last 2 years? If it’s 4” today, we can provide a 4 to 4 coupler – if it was 3.5” in 2000, we can provide a 4 to 3.5 --- you get the idea – we just need to know what the “standard “ pipe size has been over the past few years --- And before you ask, <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">NO[/B] we don’t have a 5’ cutout –not yet anyway!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
I can be of help with the 03-04 but when the "600" engine came out the upped the size to full 4". I have the "555" engine. The inside diameter of the downpipe is almost 3 3/4" but they often call it 3.5"
I have my stock exhaust in the attic. I can measure the flange and give you a picture with dimensions. What specific dimensions do you need?

Thanks for your reply -- I think we are on the same page --
This is the Street Pro cutout "welded in" on a Dodge. We propose to make "couplers" to avoild the welding you see in the second photo below. The coupler would fit tightly over the Street Pro unit and over the ajoining exhaust pipe and be secured with 2" wide stainless band clamps. I think what you are telling me is that if I make one coupler to go uver a 4" pipe and one to go over a 3.75" pipe, I will have "covered" the Dodge world as far as factory exhaust are concerned. ????????
By the way, this truck was done in the Denver CO area yesterday(20th). They did a very good job. Notice the "straight" pipe exiting just in fromt of the rear wheel. Looks great!

I did a measurement for you but wasn't sure originally where you wanted the numbers from. At the mouth of the downpipe there is a welded on flange. The actual down pipe diameter is 3.480 measured with a caliper around the OUTSIDE so the downpipe is 3.5" on a pre-"600" truck. The "600" is 4"
Forget the 3.75 mearurement, that's at the flange coupling.
You can see the welded flange in this pic of the stock exhaust..
