In reading the posts here, Ive noticed a lot of youall are going with the Nictane preOEM fuel filter.


Before I shell out some $ to clean my fuel up better, does anyone have data/opinion on which system is better: FASS or Nictane?


Oh, and hi everyone! Im a newbie to diesels....just took delivery of mine end of June....VERY happy with it. Had an avalanche before this. THis truck rocks!!! Thats not really comparing apples to apples, the fass system is a lift pump and 2 filter system. The Nictane is a simple add on filter.

Don't know much about fass, but I love the nicktane filter. fuel is clean enough to eat off of it. takes away the worry of getting crappy fuel when traveling away from home.


Also the replacement filters are reasonably priced and are simple to change yourself. give it some consideration

If your getting the power bug then go with the combo, a Fass or Preporator style lift pump/filter setup. Clean fuel and lots of it.
