Hello, been a few months since I've been on here. New daughter new job, hurricane charley kinda puts a stop to downtime. Anyway here's the problem. Have 90hp edge great love it all I need. I tow a 6-10k trailer depending on what's in it and tow in level 2. I do leave my truck idling for long periods sometimes cause I like to pretend I'm a big rig driver and am saving my starter. Well after I unload my trailer or get back into my idling truck from whatever I put it in drive and try to pull out into three lanes of traffic and truck dies. Start it back up put it into drive dies again. This proceeds to happen 4 times then I restarted it one last time revved it like crazy then put it into drive and drove fine. This has happend 3-4 times usually when I'm pulling out into this great Orlando, Fl traffic! My fuel filter is changed quite reguarly and I run chevron delo fuel additive with cetane boost every 3 tanks. Is my truck trying to kill me or am I doing something wrong?

Did you try removing the edge? Worth a shot.

Nope, I think that the trucks out to get you!!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

It sounds almost like your getting air inside your fuel lines somewhere. I think what Max suggested is also a good place to start diagnosing the problem.

I would also check all the electrical connections to and from the juice to the ECM and make sure they are all tight with no bent pins.

hope this helps.

I had a similar incedent happen with my work truck. It happens to be a 2000 Ford and when it is cold out (-20 f) and you put it into reverse and start to give fuel it stalls. I say fuel because it is a diesel. It would only stall when going into reverse and not forward. A real pain when backing trailers up.

Apperently this has been common for this year of Ford and I think they related it to the converter and the electronics with it.

I would also start with disconnecting the Juice to illiminate that possibility.

Do you recall if you had just backed up before idleing for a long time?

I am not that familer with trannies, but I have read somthing about a spring that needs replacing in the tranny. I can not remember what this springs job was. I am sure someone here would know, but maybe it also has somthing to do with stalling.

I had the exact same situation. Mine only occurred when I was taking off from a dead stop and making a right hand turn at the same time. I have recently upgraded to the Juice/Attitude and have not had this occur again......yet?

Leave the juice off to see if it doesn't do it anymore. Thats the only way you are gonna know.

I had a problem with Juice and had to sent it back .. My problem was when ueing T/H and stopping/shutting off engine . when I tried to restart nothing happened.. I disconnected juice and everything was fine .. Reconnected Juice drove around for day or two no problems, then put in T/H no problems until I shut the truck off and again it wouldn't start.. So I sent it back still in 30 day warrenty.. I would like to try another juice , BUT am leery, and now thinking about 6 Gun...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
