what would you guys recomend i put on my 06 LBZ lifted with 35's i would like some power increase but mostly safe, and MPG increase is what i am looking for, also easy to use and tune. some towing but under 9,000 pounds

i was thinking Diablo predator or PPE Excellerator any suggestions/ personal experiences

Diablo has my vote. Great tuner, simple, easy, the ability to adjust your speedo, and view real time engine data.

There are "tuners" and pigy back "boxes" Tunner reflashes your ECM to a different tune. A box just intercepts the signals between the motor and the ECM and does a bit of lying to get the performance it wants.

A tuner wont be able to read EGT's Some boxes though have that ability.

Most tuners can read boost but its a grabastic way to do it......I wouldnt use em as a guage realy.

I havent ever used the diablo. Has pretty good reviews though. The PPE will read codes and view some engine parameters in real time as well. Both act kinda like a poor mans tech 2 or diagnostic scanner.

Either one will be as safe IMO......it depends on your right foot and how high you set the thing;)

Sorry to not be able to answer your question :lol: But I cant realy compare the 2 as what is smoother. The PPE is pretty smooth in the lower HP tunes though.
