Ouch http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ouch.gif

I guess we knew it was coming when they started putting all 8 in.

They can only produce enough injectors for 875 trucks per week.

Is this above and beyond the new trucks off the line?

How many trucks are down because of injectors?

Holy Lack of Injectors, Batman!

I suspect the above is for LB7's only (this is where the backlog is at - looks like at least a 4-week wait).

Like I said, replacing just a few, a "small" problem GM has on their hands.

What about all of the aftermarket injectors out there? Some of the injectors Bosch is manufacturing has to be going to these distributors. That would account for some of the demand.

All of the aftermarket units are just remaned jobs. Nobody but GM has them new.

FWIW, we just got a another set of 8 in...didnt even order them, just a stock thing.. I assume they are coming off backorder status somewhat by that. I have two guys that need them, so they are gone nontheless

She originally told me they are producing 7000 per day and 4 million vehicles involved. I found that very hard to believe as it would take them over 17 years to produce enough at a 5 day work week..

The last time we spoke on Wednesday she said they are 25000 behind. I figured she did not understand the numbers http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wacko.gif and made some assumptions about production rates. I think the shipping dates are correct.

I have asked GM to change all my fluids and filters and conduct a thorough mechanical inspection in Lieu or providing a rental vehicle for the 5 too 6 weeks I have been without my truck.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif She has not confirmed with me that is what she can do http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif so I will have to hammer her more.. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
