Anybody with an '05 that has a hesitation in 5th gear. I have had it slam 5th at an 80 mph cruise. It did not downshift. It slams like my '03 did at first to second gear.

How many miles? Probably needs time to adjust. They are alway quirky until they learn.

I have 1500 miles on it. I can cruise at about 80mph and when I try to accelerate it loses power then surges. It doesn't matter har far I push the accelerator. I had it slam REALLY hard in fifth when doing this today. This new truck seems to have a lot more slack in the drivetrain than my '03 did.

Hmmm... what do your tranny temps look like when this happens? Did it feel like the torque converter was trying to unlock in fifth maybe??

take it in and complain. it shouldn't do that.. hopefully just something simple..
