no not that i know of but there is a company that makes a adapter for them and it just depends on what head unit you are going to use it may have a hard wired remote and you won't ever see the install if not then you have to use the one that has a little IR eye that works like the hand held remote http://www.crutchfield.com/S-X7i9ybSnjt2/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=118900&tab=essential_info&i=127SWIX#Tab here is the one with the IR eye it is almost universal

Any idea what brands will work with that adaptor? Pioneer, alpine, etc...

Most of the car audio places will sell an adaptor or can get one. I can't remember which brands they work with but the audio places will have a list. I pretty sure they work with Kenwood, Alpine and a couple more. Definatly don't work with Panasonic

PAC (http://www.pac-audio.com/default.asp) makes steering wheel control interfaces for most cars/trucks to almost all aftermarket radios.

That is true. I have the PAC SWI-ALP which stands for steering wheel interface for Alpine head units. Mine works like a charm. I believe it does a couple of other brands, but I don't remember off the top of my head. I'd try to get one that's specifically made for the brand before I went with the infrared one.

ya my last two pioneers didn't have the hard wired remote so i had to go with the IR adapter but i put the hole where you can just barely see it so it isn't bad
