When I installed my exhaust, the directions said to cut APPROXIMATELY 9" off. I was scared so I chose to instead cut 6-7" off. When I got it under my truck, I had to pry it back to get it past the studs. There is alot of pressure against it. What will this hurt?

The measurement is a general guide line to give you a close guess to cut off. You need to measure the distance on your truck and then cut.
