Anyone have the juice with the 6-speed? From what ive read, it seems that the allison is really integrated into it. Can it be put on a 6-speed?

It can be put on a 6sp truck. Welcome to the forum.

Get the attitude so you can set the levels from the controller. Other wise if you do not get the attitude controller you will have to find a truck with the allison in order to program the settings on that truck then trasfer it to your truck. And then whenever you wanted to switch the levels around you would have to find that allison truck again. So save yourself some truoble and get the Attitude.Edited by: BassinRVer

The edge works well with the 6 speed LLY, but it will make the flywheel growl on the 120 setting. Keep in mind some of the functions you are paying for with the edge can't be used or are not needed with the 6 speed i.e. 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times. shift defuel, slip protection. You really have to get the attitude to make it worth while on the 6 speed. Welcome and have fun letting these guys spend all your moneyhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif. Darn peer pressure!!!

I've had it on my 6-spd for quite a while now, usually on 5/5 setting and have never had any clutch or flywheel issues yet. *knock on wood*

It works great, lots of low end torque that the hand-held programmers don't seem to give you, but it is tougher to shift smooth when you've got the power cranked up I've noticed.

Also with the ignition being advanced you'll notice a bit less engine compression braking.

Camstyn: Do you have any 1/4 mile times with your Juice (or know of any other ZF trucks that have)? I have heard that the Juice runs relatively weak on ZF trucks.

I haven't taken it to the track yet, I'm usually at work while the street legal drags are happening at my local track.

If I get it done I'll post the results though.

FWIW it feels really strong, even with my 35's, but that may not translate to a good 1/4mile time. Edited by: Camstyn
