I bought an MBRP exhaust a couple of weeks ago and installed it myself. I am an accountant and not a motorhead but I thought it went pretty well, but since I am not that mechanically inclined ingnorance sometimes is bliss. Anyway, while driving around since then I had been hearing a whistling noise from what sounded like under the front passenger seat. I started thinking that I may not have gotten that down pipe clamp on there all the way. Today while I had my truck at the dealership for an oil change I asked them to check out the clamp on the down pipe. They frickin had my truck back there all day. I dropped it off at 8:00 and they weren't done at 4:30. They started telling me the down pipe wasn't bent right. The diesel tech ended up getting the clamp on good (I didn't have clamp on all the way) but started telling that if I didn't put the stock down pipe back on the turbo lip was going to break in the next 10,000 miles or so. He started showing me how the front hanger was torquing in the rubber mount and said that was really bad. Is any of this making sense? Does that even sound like a possibility? Anyway, the whistling noise is gone and the whole system is a lot quieter now. But now I have this nagging fear that my Turbo is going to break. Reassurance anyone?
