: Clunk in Reverse?

After towing my 5er for an extended period I notice two clunks after shifting into reverse, just as I start backing. I noticed it today and also the last time I backed in the driveway, which was about a month ago. I have not felt anything out of the ordinary whith out the trailer hooked up in between both instances. Any ideas?

Not much help, but at least you know you're not alone.

Give us some info; for all we know you might have a Ford. I think you asked this question before somewhere else, but I can't remember where.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif We need year, mileage, program, if so how many miles on program. You know the routine.

03 DA/Alli 4x4 E/C 36000 miles, running juice with attitude (since around 20000) on level 2 for towing. Bearing in rear seems ok, no play at all, none in the universals either. Someone told me that the line pressure in the tranny is high after towing and this is the cause. I hadn't heard that before.
