Has anybody installed one of these differential covers? I would like to try one be it appears that there might not be enough room between the spare tire and the cover.

Sorry, I forgot, I have a new 3500 cc dually.

rfcsb, I installed a Mag-Hytec on my 2500 HD, I have a 245/75 R16 for a spare. The differential cover fits just fine. I would suggest removing the spare for installation. The differential cover would not clear the ring gear with the spare in the normal position. I also installed a temp-sending unit so that I could monitor the differential temps while towing. Good Luck http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Just a reminder from a previous experience I had with these aftermarket covers. The ones that are powder coated metal will increase the tempratures.

If you're changing for the cosmetic reasons then it might not be an issue. But if you're towing you want the aluminum cover.
