I was looking on ebay and see there's factory wheels and chrome aftermarket ones. My question is will the chrome ones hold up if you live snowy areas (salted roads)? If I get the factory ones, are they all the same? Some of them look different on the pics but could just be lighting etc. Thanks 4 any input.

they are a lot of hummer h2 close to my location that run their factory wheel all year and the road are very salted here. I think they hold up fine at least for the older gray one. Not sure for the newer chrome one...

From factory there is two different finishes to choose from, polished and chrome. They should hold up to salt with no problems as they are clear coated. Some people are also removing the clear coat, sanding down the textured areas smooth and then having them fully chromed. Those styles will definitely be affected by winter/salt conditions if not cleaned on a regular basis. I have pics of all three in my garage if you want to see what they look like on our trucks

I'll just run them in the summer, It nice have a nice set come summer. all wheel s are going to take a beating in the winter, why risk it.

Yeah on e-bay, they have the aftermarket chrome ones but doubt they'll hold up. Maybe I'll keep the stockers for winter and h2's for summer like suggested. What are stock rims worth that are in perfect condition?

I sold the tires with no miles on them for $600. It use to be that you could almost name your price for the rims BUT there is too many of them out there now. If you get $400 for the rims I would be jumping for joy

I've run my H2s all winter with no problems.
