Ok fellas, its official. I just got the call from the service department, and my #2 injector is BAD(out of spec and sticking). Now the really bad news! Service guy says he has NO idea when he'll be able to get a new injector. They are on national back order.

He asked me if I have any contacts for injectors. So, I am now asking you guys, can someone here help me out with getting 1 LLY injector shipped to my dealer?

This is for your 04 LLY? I don't have one but I just want it to be clear for people trying to help you out.

Sorry, I'm all worked up nowhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif. Yes its for my 2004.5 LLY.

I guess this is what I have to accept/expect from a $42,000 vehicle with only 12,000 miles on it. BAD INJECTORS!

Good luck.

I wonder how long it takes to change that #2 injector?

I had my LLY in two weeks ago for two injectors #3 and #4. They figured it out on a Monday it was those two injectors, they called around and found two and I had my truck back on Wednesday of that week. I was very pleased with that Service department, they did all the work to find the injectors. That SM also told me that the LLY injectors weren't as big of an issue to get as compared to the LB7 injectors. He said those were a 30 day minimum for sure...

Bummer! Dealer says they can't authorize getting injector from any of those places. Something about my truck being in the SPAC system as waiting for injectors. Which basically means if another chevy dealer has one then they have to send it to them. Hugh? I don't understand.

Just make sure they give you another $42,000 truck to drive in the mean time. That might make them find another way to get one for you!

If the wait for parts goes over 30 days, I bet you'll get a good deal on a new '05. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Thanks, I might take you up on the offer if I don't get a resolution in 28 days.
I work at GM and have been in contact with the fuel systems engineer, so i'm pretty sure i'll get a resolution soon.

Update, my new LLY injector is on its way to the dealer as I type(supposedly). My truck also got put on top priority for repair when that injector comes in, so I could have it back as early as tomorrw(friday). Now its just a waiting game. Edited by: 338_
