I have an airbag system in my suspension for when I'm pulling my fifth wheel. Is there a way that an airhose can be hooked up to the pump to use on my tires? Edited by: trlrboy

Do you have a compressor or holding tank?

***Edit, dumb question. I realise now it is posted in your original post that you have a compressor. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gifEdited by: Max Power

I don't know about driving the air from the airbag pump. The problem is volume. You are going to need a small tank. What's the max psi on your pump? I have an aftermarket kit on my jeep that i run air tools from. I modified a small cylinder and ran the tubbing lines with a couple of quick connects on each side of the jeep. It works great on the trail for tire changes and fixing broken parts.

Trouthunt has the idea. I have a set of Air Horns that came with a small tank and the compressor kicks on based on tank pressure. It has a tire valve on it that I hook up my hose to air my air bags. Here is a link to a couple pictures of where I mounted my tank/compressor and air connections for the air bags..

I have close to the same set up as above.

I have the Viair 450 compressor with a 2 1/2 gallon tank and a check valve in line from the compressor. I then routed to lines from the tank to either side of the truck with quick connects on them. I keep one of those 20' or so coil hoses in my truck for air. The pump will only put out about .87 cfm at 90 psi. Not enough to run air tools. But the compressor will put out 150 psi to the tank. If needed I can bust a couple of stubburn lugs and wait a couple of minutes for the tank to fill up again.

Make sure that if you do put quick connects on you mount them in a spot that is not going to get a lot of dirt or crap in them or you will constantly have problems.

Good point akdiesel. I take a bike tube and slip it over the quick connect up to the tubbing then fold it over and snug it up with a tie wrap.

Now there is a handy little tip. I have not used that one. But mine are up and out of the way so there is no dirt on them.
