If I do a full throttle launch in 4x4 Hi to maintain traction at what point should I go back to 2 wheel drive? And if I do this under full throttle with aftermarket power do I risk damage to the transfer case, etc. when I make the switch back?
Thanks.

No matter when you switch back to 2wd it will not actually disengage until all the tension if off the driveline. So it does no good to switch before the end of the run but you can if you want. Some claim they can get back in to 2wd before the end, I never could.

front end parts will go first IMO. do a search for super diesel's tie rod sleeves.

That is hard on your stock tranny as well.

The one on the trailer is my old one that I took the tranny out of. I was taking it back to the dealer.
