I have an 04 crew cab. I want to put a couple subs behind the seat and mount an amp there as well. I have seen a thread here in the past, but cant locate it now. Any pictures, name brand boxes and subs, or just BS info will be of help.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

I built my own box and put a 10" in it and mounted my amps to the back of the rear drivers side seat. This set up really worked for me since I still have my passenger side seat storage freed up. I put in all new speakers too and ran ALL new wires. I installed a Sony CDX M800 stereo with multiple RCA lines already.

I saw at one time that you could buy a box that would fit our crews but it was too expensive in my opinion. That was for 2 10" subs though. 1 10" is plenty for me. If you want pictures then I can get some a send them.

I found this too http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50565&item=5715556 310&rd=1. Price is not too bad IMO. Looks to be good quality as well since it is made out of MDF.

I used a pre-fabed box UNDER the rear seat and put the amps on the back wall.

I put my two 8" MTX subs behind my back seat, and then I put my MTX amp under the back seat where it was out of the way. The subs came in two seperate boxes that fit perfectly.Edited by: codythom

What about wiring into the factory head unit? I have a couple 10's and an amp I was thinking about putting in there, but I don't want to replace the factory head, as I like the changer and built in XM controls, etc.

I have the factory six disc changer and whole unit running with the speakers and amp. I didn't feel like spending the extra money on a whole new cd player so I kept the factory one. Works great, with no problems. I just had to get an adaptor that made it all work together.
