Hello everyone,
I've been reviewing diesel forums and this looks like the place for me.
I have a new 2007 2500 HD Duramax 4x4 LBZ. I'd like to give it a little extra help, but don't know what to or not to believe with all the advertizing hype out there.
I'm thinking about starting with a MBRP cat back 4 inch. Then, a S&B intake and filter system. After that, a Predator or Superchips programmer.
What to do?
I'm also concerned about trashing the torque converter and or Allison with too much power. As most of us know, this motor puts out 360 HP and 650 FT.LBS torque at advertized rpms. How much additional power can this combo safely take. Most of my driving is lightly loaded, expect heaviest load to be a 3750 lb. boat, perhaps occasionally a tractor, 58 hp. probably 8000 lbs.
Your suggestions, please, or can you direct me to previous threads where this information may have already been discussed?
Thanks in advance,
Dumasdiddley
