: Edge Juice Attitude
dlshunter 01-27-2007, 11:35 PM Does this Tuner have the capability of correcting the odometer and shift points when you have bigger (285-75-16) tires than stock?
What are the possible problems with these tuners/chips?
RickDLance 01-27-2007, 11:41 PM No and No.
This may help. It's a comparison on tuners and chips that another mod did. Very good starting place.;)

No, this is a piggy back module not a flash programmer, and no off the shelf programmer will be able to adjust for shift points either. If you need to correct the speedo for tire size, get a Hypertech, Predator, Bully Dog, PPE etc...If you still want this module, you can set the display(Attitude Monitor) to read the correct speed though, plus get a set of guages with it.

Potentially voiding your drivetrain warranty, increased engine wear, increased transmission wear, you get the picture. If used correctly, you probably will have a good long engine/trans life, but modding it to 500+ HP will shorten it's life dramatically. The old addage goes, you gotta pay to play.
dlshunter 01-28-2007, 12:15 AM So just what I thought...more fuel = more heat = more wear & tear...
Do any or all of these tuners cause increased enegine and or exhaust noise?
StevenE 01-28-2007, 09:16 AM If the Edge Juice w/attitude does not allow for tire size changes why is the procedure in the user manual?
This is from the manual:
Tire Size
If your vehicle has stock tires, there is no need to change the value on this
screen. After selecting the Tire Size option from the Juice Configuration screen
(previous steps), the following screen appears:
The numbers on this screen represent the circumference of your tire. Adjust the
tire size by pressing the up/down arrow keys. The table below will help you
determine your wheel circumference by matching your tire size with the sizes
listed. For example, if your tire size is 285/ 65/ 18R, the value (circumference)
you enter into the Attitude is 2599.0. Another alternative is to measure your tire’s
circumference by marking your tire and rolling it one complete revolution and
measuring the distance then multiply the inches by 25.4 (i.e., 91.3 inches x 25.4
= 2319.0 mm).

I had (just pulled it and replacing it with PPE Hot+2, S300G turbo, CP3's, etc, etc) an Edge juice w/A and also changed the tire size settings once I put on the larger tires. I also ran my Garmin nav system on it when I drove it to suncoast and the mph on the DIC was off by 4-7 mph's depending upon my speed (which was maxed at 93 mph due to the stupid limiter on the truck) so I have no idea what good it did to change the settings on the Edge.

As I said, the Attitude doesn't change the speedo for tire size, it just diaplay's the correct speed on the Attitude only.

It has this feature so you can display the correct speed on the Attitude, it doesn't say anywhere that the Juice will correct the speedo for tire size in the manual that I am aware of.

And as I said yes the speedo was off. What I guess I didn't say was that the Edge display was off as well.........

Do any or all of these tuners cause increased enegine and or exhaust noise?
They all do, the increased fueling causes increased cylinder pressure, which causes louder combustion = more sound.
